16th Annual Donald Driver Football Camp to be Held in Houston Texas at Dyer Stadium
Fitness company supports foundation founded by Green Bay Packers all-time leading Receiver and Super Bowl champion
HOUSTON – June 23, 2016 – Frog Fitness today announces its sponsorship of the 2016 Donald Driver Foundation Football Camp in Houston on June 23 –24. The foundation, which was founded by former NFL pro, Donald Driver, has a core focus of serving underprivileged children and families by addressing health, wellness, safety, education and career development. The organization hosts an annual camp to teach players, ages seven to 17, the essentials and objectives of the game. Frog Fitness is assisting the foundation at this year’s Houston camp, providing food, water and teaching participants the rules of football.
Frog Fitness is dedicated to supporting organizations which display outstanding values, such as those of the Donald Driver Foundation. At this year’s camp, Driver is instructing campers on the rules of the game, along with passing, blocking, tackling, hand-offs and the everyday basic objectives. Through the sponsorship, Frog Fitness drives the Foundation’s mission to display “Strong Hands, Strong Minds, and Loving Hearts” and serve as a hand up, not a hand out.
“Supporting our local community is of utmost importance to us,” said Richard Pearce, founder of Frog Fitness. “In addition to providing food and water to all the campers, we created a ‘Frog Challenge’ that consists of various drills that teach coordination and technique. I believe wholeheartedly in the benefits of imparting values of teamwork at a young age. We are humbled to share in this goal and witness Donald’s generous nature and humanitarian spirit.”
After overcoming homelessness himself, Driver became an elite force on the field for the Green Bay Packers, winning multiple awards such as achieving a Super Bowl Championship, becoming a “Dancing with the Stars” champion, and being named a recipient of the prestigious AMVETS 2013 Humanitarian of the Year award. The Donald Driver Football Camp is an experience each participant will remember for a lifetime.
